As a guest in our waterfront campground – or one of our houses or apartments – you’ll be close to the action but far from the crowds! That’s right, you’ll get to bask in the city's world-famous end-of-year fireworks as you unwind in in an iconic setting with friends and family. Plus: There will be entertainment and fun activities for all guests. What a way to ring in 2027!

[Note: Due to capacity limits and reduced ferries, access to the island on Thursday 31 December is reserved for people with an accommodation booking. Woolwich will remain open to the public on New Year’s Eve as a fireworks vantage point .]

Camping packages

NYE camping packages are now available to purchase! Be quick – only a limited number of camping spots are available.

Choose to stay on the island's Eastern Apron (Harbour Bridge view) or Northern Apron (Woolwich view), either in a pre-erected tent or one you've brought from home. Camping packages with pre-erected tents start at $690 + booking fee, while the BYO tent option is available from $590 + booking fee. 

[Note: A minimum 2-night stay applies to campground reservations – NYE guests will arrive on Wednesday 30 December 2026 and depart on Friday 1 January 2027.  Campers can choose to extend their stay by 2 nights at a special discounted rate.]

ACCOMMODATION BALLOT CLOSED

Houses and apartments

The ballot to hire a holiday house or apartment during the New Year’s Eve period is now closed. Winners will be notified by 5PM AEST on Thursday 17 September.

Ballot winners will spend 4 nights (minimum) celebrating with friends and family in a charming house or apartment.

This year, 11 properties were offered. These included our Heritage Holiday Houses, Garden Riverview Apartments, Overseers Apartments and Fire Station Studio plus our 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom Harbour View Apartments. The ballot also marked the debut of the Dockmaster's Residence. Prices for a 4-night stay ranged from $3,900 to $12,000.

[Note: Check-in for all properties is from 3pm on Tuesday 29 December 2026. Check-out is by noon on Saturday 2 January 2027. Ballot winners who choose to extend their stay by a further night will be eligible for a special discount.]

Houses & Apartments – 10% off an extra night!

Ballot winners wanting to 'make a weekend' of their NYE experience can choose to stay in their house or apartment an additional night (Saturday 2 January 2027) at a special discounted rate (i.e. 10% off our normal weekend rates). Rates for this additional night, per accommodation option, are as follows:

Dockmaster's Residence (NEW) –$979 (reduced from $1088)
Heritage Houses – $881 (reduced from $979)
Harbour View Apartments (2-bedroom) – $477 (reduced from $530)
Garden Riverview Apartments – $436.50 (reduced from $485)
Harbour View Apartment (1-bedroom) – $328.50 (reduced from $365)
