Societe Overboard offer a great range of breakfast and lunch options including fresh sandwiches, salads and burgers, accompanied with a selection of hot and cold drinks including beer and wine. Perfect for your next visit to Cockatoo Island.

Thursday - Friday: 8:30am - 4:30pm
Saturday: 8:30am - 7:00pm
Sunday: 8:30am - 4:30pm

Cockatoo Island Marine Centre, Camber Wharf

Check out the Marine Centre Cafe located at Camber Wharf on the Southern Apron. The Pop-up Airstream Cafe is a family friendly environment serving a variety of sandwiches, snacks, coffee, tea and cold drinks including beer and wine.

To complement the Airstream Cafe you will also find Captain Sausage and Friends, serving original German gourmet sausages and condiments!

The Island Bar, Eastern Apron

Enjoy signature cocktails and drinks that are perfect over an Italian style lunch, dinner or evening snack, watching the sun go down over Sydney Harbour.

The Island Bar has a small family friendly area which closes at 3pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Please note that the children are not allowed in The Island Bar after this time.

Picnic spots and BBQ areas

Visitors are welcome to pack a picnic and soak up the vistas in one of our scenic picnic spots, both the lower and upper island have a range of shady spots.

Public barbeques
Located in Memorial Park, opposite the Visitor Centre, these are available for public to use.  For groups larger than 10 people, a booking is required due to demand.

Campground kitchen
The campground kitchen is not available for public use. However for groups of up to 30, it can be booked for use from Monday – Thursday 12pm – 3pm. Fees apply.

BBQ packs
BBQ packs can be ordered in advance from Societe Overboard located near the Parramatta Wharf. Download the BBQ packs menu (PDF - 135.18 KB)
To order, call Societe Overboard on 0434 372 260 from Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm.

Vending machines
There are vending machines located near the cafe, in the campground kitchen and on the upper island near building 10. There is also a coffee machine located in the campground kitchen and tap water on Cockatoo Island is Sydney water and is drinkable.

Please note alcohol cannot be brought onto Cockatoo Island.
