Travel Options

Schools can choose to travel to Cockatoo Island by public ferry or private ferry. Please note, travel costs are not included in cost of excursion. Choose one travel option from the two choices below:

Option 1 - Sydney Ferries
Ferry cost	Single tickets $5.20 concession, $10.40 adult. Cheaper multi-trip or day passes also available. You must purchase your tickets from Sydney Ferries.
Bookings	Please call the Sydney Ferries School Group Coordinator on (02) 8113 5424 or email lesley.goss@sydneyferries.nsw.gov.au to book your ferry travel and arrange group tickets. Tell them your group size and travel time.

Option 2 - Private Ferry
Ferry cost	$850 for up to 70 people, $990 for up to 120 people, $1050 for over 120 people. GST incl. Plus State Govt wharfage fees ($45 per docking). The ferry company will send you the invoice after the excursion
Bookings	The Harbour Trust will arrange bookings for schools choosing the private ferry option.

On receipt of your completed excursion enquiry form, the Bookings Officer will check the availability of your requested dates. You will then be sent a confirmation letter and teacher information kit with all the information needed for your excursion. If the suggested excursion dates are not available, the Bookings Officer will contact you to discuss possible alternatives.
