Places to Eat on Cockatoo
The Island Bar has now re-opened. Constructed from recycled shipping containers with gorgeous views of Sydney Harbour and the Harbour Bridge the Island Bar serves signature cocktails and drinks that are perfect over an Italian style lunch, dinner or evening snack. The Canteen is a licensed café located just past the main entry archway on your left as you step off the ferry at Parramatta Wharf. It offers a range of food and drinks with views of the harbour. Or, bring a picnic, relax and enjoy the views from one of the island's great picnic spots.
Electric BBQs near the Campground on the lower island are available for public use.
There's also a drinks and snacks machine near the cafe - great if you get the midnight munchies whilst camping on the island. We're also planning a bar in the atmospheric foundry next to the Turbine Hall. Watch this space for further details.
