Opportunities for artists

There is no other place like Cockatoo Island. Gritty, industrial, steeped in history, the island has already attracted artists, designers, architects and cultural bodies. The island has inspired works ranging from the bold and imaginative installations of Swiss artist Urs Fischer, paintings by students from the National Art School and exhibitions by the Australian Graphic Design Association.

We are keen to hear proposals from individuals or organisations for innovative programs or artistic events on Cockatoo Island. Activities could include installations, exhibitions, art classes, workshops, talks or artistic events. Organisations with great ideas for collaborative projects are also encouraged.
