Cockatoo Island

Muster station cafe

We are progressively rehabilitating and restoring the historic sites and spaces of Cockatoo Island. The creation of maritime activities and a step-by-step re-occupation of the site by commercial and community users will lead to the island's revival. Our plans for Cockatoo

New uses and activities will broaden the island's appeal and ensure its viability. Maritime and related industry will be re-established, while new uses such as cultural events, studios, workshops for creative industries and visitor accommodation will be introduced. Balancing this activity, there will be a diversity of public open spaces, vantage points and quiet places for reflection.

Existing buildings and structures will be adaptively re-used, and heritage sites will be conserved and interpreted as an important element of the island's attractions.

If you are thinking of becoming part of the Cockatoo business community, investigate spaces now available for lease.
